A Wedding Photographer in Suffolk Who Gets Camera Shyness

Most of the couples I work with tell me they feel awkward in front of a camera, long before we’ve even met. You don’t need to know how to pose, or practise your angles, or perform for the whole day. I guide you gently through anything that needs it, then step back so you can actually be at your own wedding, not directing it.

What Couples Say

Right from the initial video call with Julie, and my now husband changing his mind from not wanting an engagement shoot to needing it so he would feel comfortable in front of the camera, which turned out to be the best decision made, right to having our sneak preview delivered within days of the wedding, Julie has been incredible. Her communication is incredible, she is personable, friendly, thoughtful and so discreet we hardly knew she was there. Choosing you as our photographer was hands down the best investment.

Courtney & Tom

We had a pre-wedding photoshoot a couple of months before our wedding to meet Julie and acquaint ourselves in front of the camera. Any nervousness we had fell away almost instantly. I am not usually comfortable in front of a camera, but Julie conquered this feeling in me and I was charged with readiness and excitement going into our wedding day. We didn’t want to be stood around for hours taking posed photos, and Julie completely understood that. Everything felt so natural and real.

Questions Suffolk Couples Ask Before Booking

What if we’re really awkward in front of the camera?

That’s most of my couples, honestly. I gently guide you through anything that feels unnatural, and by the day itself it rarely feels like posing at all.

Julie recently took our engagement session photos. For two of us who are really camera shy, she made us feel at ease and were really happy with how the photos have come out! Julie is so easy to get on with and you won’t regret working with her!

How far in advance do we need to book?

Popular dates get booked up to a year ahead, so I’d recommend enquiring as soon as you have a date in mind, even if the rest of your planning isn’t finished yet.

Do you help with the rest of our wedding planning?

I’m not a planner, but I’ve worked with a lot of Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire suppliers over the years, and I’m always happy to point you towards hair and makeup artists, florists or any other supplier I trust.

What’s the investment for a wedding photographer in Suffolk?

Will I have to pay extra to get my images, or buy them back?
