Meet your warm & cozy wedding photographer Julie
I have been photographing weddings for such a long time, and the main thing that I always come back to is that we are inundated with wedding rules, traditions, do’s and don’ts, pleasing family members or people who have an opinion on how your wedding should look, be or go.
My desire for you is to have the exact wedding that YOU want. If there are certain traditions you don’t want to take part in, then I highly encourage you to not do it.
I want to bring a calm presence, a steady voice, a gentle nudge when you’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed. I bring a pack of essentials with me to every wedding so that if something goes wrong, I know I have a way to help you. From essential oils to a tide stain stick, to a full sewing kit, I come with lots of little tricks up my sleeve so that you can spend your day having fun, chatting with your guests, and basking in the warmth of the love you and your partner have created.
My vision is to create a safe, warm, gentle photography experience so that you feel seen, comfortable, and fully yourself and have photos that feel like home for years to come.

Why is feeling warm so important to me?
I have always loved the magic of golden hour. People have called me the “queen of golden hour” from my obsession with sunsets, autumn, Gilmore Girls, and the colour yellow, I have always been drawn to the cosy things in life. So when I was searching for what made my brand ME, I landed on the golden warmth of comparing my photos to a warm snuggle, a cosy blanket, and the feeling you get when you see your dog curled up in the tightest cinnamon bun and your heart just wells with love.
Bringing this feeling into my edit, my approach to posing, and the way I communicate with my couples is so important to me because I want you to feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed.
Timelines, events, chaos, and everything else about a wedding is so second nature to me because weddings have been part of my entire life, so what I really want to focus on is how YOU feel, how you see yourselves in your photos, and that being photographed doesn’t have to be this scary, awkward or anxious thing.
A calm, thoughtful approach to wedding photography

What I offer goes beyond showing up with a camera. I create a steady, gentle, presence so you can relax into your day and fully be yourselves. I guide when it is helpful, step back when it is not, and pay close attention to the quieter moments that often pass by unnoticed. The small looks, the pauses, the way your people gather around you. That’s where your day really lives.
With over 11 years of experience and dozens of weddings behind me, I know how to anticipate what’s coming next, support you through emotional moments, and keep things feeling uncrushed even when the day moves quickly. You never need to perform or know how to pose with me. I’ll take care of the flow so you can stay present.
What makes this experience different is how it feels. Couples often tell me they felt calm, comfortable, and quietly help throughout the day. My goal is for you to walk away not just with beautiful photographs, but with the feeling that your wedding was documented with care, intention, and deep respect for who you are and what this day means to you.
Julie photographed our wedding and we are so pleased with the photos. They capture a warm, autumnal glow which is exactly what we wanted. Julie was so kind and patient with us and our family, and was able to get photos which caught all of our emotions ‘in the moment’, without them seeming posed or unnatural. We highly recommend booking Julie for your special occasion – it was the best decision we made!
Feel seen. Feel safe. Feel sacred.
My mission is to create a safe space for everyone to have warm cosy photos with those they love to treasure forever.

If you’re curious about how I got here, weddings have always been part of my world.
I’ve been photographing weddings since 2013, but growing up with a wedding photographer for a dad and grandmother, and being the youngest of eight children, meant I was surrounded by weddings long before that. At one point we joked my family could run an entire wedding business, with florists, seamstresses, bakers, coordinators, and photographers all under one roof.
My siblings were getting married when I was still a child, so I was either helping with planning or acting as a flower girl, and by high school I was assisting my dad at weddings.
When my friends started getting married in 2013, I officially launched my own business and never looked back. After everything paused in 2020, my husband and I moved our family from North Carolina to Suffolk to be closer to his family, and I rebuilt my photography business from the ground up in a new country. It hasn’t been easy, but I’m deeply grateful I kept going, because it means I’m here now, ready to document your day and the love you’ve worked so hard to build.
From family weddings, to my own in 2016, through friends and many many lovely clients, I have watched and learned so much over the years, and I am here to help you find your calm, your peace, and offer you the best tips to wrap a lovely bow upon your book and mark the beginning of your highly anticipated sequel.
